From a single mill producing 50 tonnes of flour in 1964, Kovalpatti Lakshmi Roller Flour Mills Ltd. has expanded both its product offerings and quantities of production significantly. Today, we mill over 5500 tonnes of food products every month, including Maida, Atta, Sooji and Bran.

Mr. V.N. Jayaprakasam (Director) (image right), a graduate of the prestigious Swiss school of Milling St. Gallen was one of the first Indians officially selected and sent to study overseas by Sri. V. Jagannathan (Chairman) to setup the KLRF Flour Milling unit.

Managing Director & Promoter

A graduate of the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, New York, U.S.A, he began his career with the Kovilpatti Lakshmi Roller Flour Mills Limited (formerly KLRF Limited) as an Executive Director in 1979. He brings valuable experience across the group’s endeavours including flour milling, textiles & engineering.

Mr. Sudarsan Varadaraj

Director

A well-known industrialist from Coimbatore. An Honours graduate from Stanford University, Mr. Sudarsan Varadaraj contributes his experience as an Independent Director of Kovilpatti Lakshmi Roller Flour Mills Limited (formerly KLRF Limited). He is also the Chairman and Managing Director of Elgi Rubber Company Limited.

A well-known industrialist from Coimbatore. Mr. R. Kannan

Over the course of ​over 3 decades, Mr Kannan has worked across engineering, textile and milling industries. As a financial domain specialist, he brings his experience to bear as an Executive Director of the Company.

Mrs.Kalyani Jagannathan

Director

An MS in computer Science from Northeastern University, Boston, co-founded Lucid Technologies and Solutions, her expertise in Information Technology brings a unique perspective to Kovilpatti Lakshmi Roller Flour Mills Limited (formerly KLRF Limited). She is an Independent Women Director of the Company.

Mr. Ashwin Chandran

Director

With a passion for design, Mr.Ashwin Chandran believes product design and promotion can unlock significant value for companies and businesses. He is a member of CITI Cotton Development and Research Association and Vice Chairman of the Southern India Mills Association. He is also the Chairman and Managing Director of Precot Meridian Limited, Coimbatore. He is an Independent Director of the Company.

KLRF Group milestones

1961 - KLRF Foods

KLRF Foods incorporated on 16th December, as a private limited company with an authorized capital of 9 lakhs, installed capacity of50 Tonnes

1973 - KLRF Engineering

Metal castings division incorporated with an installed capacity of 1500 Tonnes per annum.

1975 - KLRF Engineering

Metal castings division starts commercial production.

1978 - KLRF Engineering

Metal castings production crossed 1200 Tonnes per annum.

1980 - KLRF Engineering

Metal castings capacity increased to 3600 Tonnes per annum by adding two moulding lines and 3.50 Tonnes Induction Furnace.

1982 - KLRF Group

KLRF group converted into a public limited company on 8th May and food production capacity is increased to 2600 Tonnes per month

1983 - KLRF Engineering

Metal castings increases capacity to 4800 Tonnes per annum.

1984 - KLRF Engineering

Metal castings production crosses 3000 Tonnes per annum.

1986 - KLRF Engineering

Metal casting division starts exports to European countries additional 3.5 Tonnes Induction furnace and a Rotary Furnace were added.

1989 - KLRF Foods

Food production capacity increases to 4700 Tonnes per month

1990 - KLRF Engineering

Metal production crosses 5000 Tonnes per annum.

1991 - KLRF Engineering

Sri V.Jagannathan (Chairman) received Indian Institute of Foundrymen Coimbatore Chapter Best Foundry Award 1991, sponsored by PSG Industrial Institute.

2000 - KLRF Foods

We become the second ISO Certified Flour Mill in the country (ISO 9002:1994 by M/S TUV SUD). We introduce the new WWA (Whole Wheat Atta) production facilities.

2006 - KLRF Engineering

Amalgamation with KLRF group. The production capacity of the division is 9600 Tonnes per annum of Ferrous & Alloy castings.

2009 - KLRF Foods

Management system certification is changed to ISO 22000:2005 (Food safety management system) being a food product industry ​emphasizing hygiene and food safety requirements

2010 - KLRF Engineering

Modernization and addition of moulding lines including higher capacity box size.
Capacity increases to 9000 Tonnes per annum.

2012 - KLRF Group

We receive the coveted ISO 270001:2005 Certification for our Information Security Management System (Awarded by M/S TUV SUD South Asia Pvt. Ltd.)

2013 - KLRF Engineering

Ferrous castings capacity increased to 10800 Tonnes per annum.

2014 - KLRF Engineering

Actual production crosses 7500 Tonnes per annum.

2015 - KLRF Foods

We receive the coveted Certificate ISO 27001 : 2013 (ISMS, awarded by TUV SUD South Asia Pvt. Ltd.)

2017 - KLRF Engineering

Actual production crosses 9000 Tonnes per annum.

2017 - KLRF Foods

Present capacity is 6160 Tonnes per month including Whole Wheat Atta grinding.
